And she find there's little more exciting than eating, drinking, socialising, bonding and being surrounded by joy and beautiful things.

Hence the creation of Somerled.

With Somerled, Lucy realised that the more she created a venue that matches everything her family does and loves, the more people loved it! So in that sense, it has made it easier for her to deveop menus, execute stunning events and host private parties for Members.

So this all really comes down to the good taste and epicurean tendencies of her parents Rob and Heather, and their families!

Hands on from the inception of the cellar bar, Lu once lived behind the shop to keep things running, and as the space has grown to look after itself, she has been able to try living in various parts of the Adelaide Hills.

Lu worked in hospitality and the wine industry for years, taking her to live in both Dublin and Hong Kong at different stages, but she's a country mouse at heart and thrives on a hilltop with her partner in beautiful Mylor!
